The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has assured the general public that of extreme safety during the festive season.
The MPS alongside the Directorate of Road Traffic and Safety Services have intensified law enforcement and awareness on the country’s major roads.
The exercise which will run from this month to January 2021 will target all districts in the country.
Festive seasons are often associated with increased travel and various forms of celebrations which security authorities insist need to be cautiously monitored to save people’s lives and property.
National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera also urges the public to play their part to ensure safety and security of property especially when they travel out.
