Just a couple of days after President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation regarding the latest sharp increase of COVID-19 case in South Africa and announcing new strict measures, surprising videos and pictures of citizens partying in rivers have emerged.
Amongst the new restrictions, Ramaphosa announced closure of beaches especially in the Capes where there is a huge increase in the number of new coronavirus cases.
However, videos and pictures circulating on social media show how people have taken their parties to the rivers although it remains unclear when these videos were taken, nevertheless, they have emerged right at a time beaches are being closed.
