Minibus operators in some parts of the country are not offering services this morning to draw the attention of authorities on the business implications of rising fuel prices at a time capacity of passengers on buses has been reduced.

The operators say in the present scenario, they are making no gains such that they want government to either increase passenger capacity or reduce the hiked fuel prices.

In Bangwe, police used teargas to disperse demonstrators who blocked the road with burning tires and stones at Bangwe weaving factory.

People are just walking to their various work places as no minibus is operating along Robert Mugabe Highway.
