Information reaching this publication indicates that Minister of Labour in Tonse Alliance government Ken Kandodo has tested positive for COVID-19.
Kandodo is currently receiving treatment at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in the capital Lilongwe.
Cases of the pandemic have begun rising again in what the presidential taskforce on Covid-19 says is a second wave of the global pandemic.
As of yesterday, 41 new cases were recorded in the country bringing total active cases to 168.
So far the pandemic has claimed over 185 people in the country.
