29-year-old Jacob Gbamri has sadly taken his life after his wife stopped him from taking alcohol.
From what we have gathered, Jacob returned home drunk and stranded yet requesting more top up of the alcohol from a nearby ‘blue kiosk’ believed to be managed by his wife and since he was denied by his wife considering his situation, he decided to end it all.
Minutes later a gunshot was heard and upon reaching the scene, the deceased was lying in a pool of blood with a pistol beside him.
The public affairs office of the Upper East Regional police command confirmed the incident through Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) David Fianko-Okyere.
The body of the deceased has Been given to the family for burial while the weapon used in committing the suicide is in police custody for evidence sake.
