Death has been announced of Senior Chief Mbenje of Nsanje district.
Chief Mbenje, real name Tiferenji Vizyalona died while receiving treatment at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe this morning after a short illness.
The late Senior Chief Mbenje was elevated last year in May and this meant that Nsanje district had four senior chiefs namely, Tengani, Malemia, Mbenje and Mlolo.
