First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo has expressed shock over the death of two lawmakers, one for Ntchisi North and the other for Zomba Changalume.
The two MPs namely Hon John Chikalimba and Hon Jacqueline Chikuta died while reiving treatment at Zomba Central Hospital and Mtengowanthenga Hospital in Mponela respectively.
writing on his official facebook page Kazombo said he was saddened with untimely death of the two.
“You were my pillars, my advisors. Am heart broken. Ambuye alandireni Hon John Chikalimba and Hon Jacqueline Chikuta. Anthu abwino awa,” wrote Kazombo.
The cause of their death is not known at the moment.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the two have succumbed to COVID-19.
