Cumulatively, Malawi has recorded 29, 421 cases including 968 deaths.

Speaking during the daily Covid 19 briefings yesterday, Gospel Kazako who is the Minister of Information and also a member of the Presidential Taskforce said the figures were promising and an indication that Malawi is winning the fight against the pandemic.

However, Health Rights activist George Jobe, has advised the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19  to include reasons for the decline in its updates.

Jobe said much as the decline can be attributed to the preventive measures, but other factors such as people shunning away from health facilities and low number of tests being conducted could also contribute to the results.
