Police in the Central East Region have arrested 59 people over various offences.

The suspects were arrested last night in an operation conducted in all the seven formations within the region which targeted some criminals on the wanted list.

The 59 were arrested for cases of robbery, breaking, contravening Covid-19 regulations, found in possession of Chamba, among others.

Central East region police spokesperson Harry Namwaza says the suspects will appear in court soon.
