The Dog to the United States President Joe Biden, Major has been involved in its second biting incident in a month, the White House has said.

According to Jill Biden’s press secretary, Michael LaRosa the incident happened on Monday as Major was taken out on a walk.

Meanwhile, the individual was attended to by the White House medical unit “out of an abundance of caution” and returned to work without injury.

Major was seen on a walk around the White House lawn early on Monday evening before the president and the first lady traveled to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The German shepherd only returned to the White House last week, along with his older sibling Champ, after causing minor injuries to an employee of the US Secret Service on 8 March.

Major, three years old, was adopted by the Bidens in 2018 and is the first White House dog to have been adopted from a shelter.
