The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) has extended the deadline for registration of candidates for 2021 PSLCE, JCE and MSCE examinations to 16th April 2021.

This has been said communicated in a press statement seen by Face of Malawi reporter.

According to the Examinations Board, the extension is to give an opportunity to candidates who have no done well in the 2020 MSCE examinations and wish to re-write in 2021.

“The Extension is an opportunity for the MSCE candidates who did not perform well In the 2020 MSCE examinations and intend to register and sit for the 2021 examination,” read part of the statement.

On April 1, the examinations board released 2020 MSCE examination results with 41 percent pass rate, the lowest pass rate for a decade.

Meanwhile, other organizations are calling for the Ministry of education to consider administering supplementary examinations to MSCE candidates who did not do well.
