He was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko.

It is in the States case that on the 2nd of February 2021, Mufunda, who is Gudo’s girlfriend sent a text message advising him to bring money for rent because her landlord was asking for it.

It is alleged that Gudo told her to stop bothering him because she was in love with another man.

The court heard that on the next day, Gudo went to Mufunda’s house and parked his Jeep Cherokee outside the gate and called her and when she got to the gate, he ordered her not to touch his car because she had communicated about their love affair to Gudo’s daughter.

Mufunda is alleged to have indicated that she only needed money for January rent, which was long overdue.

Gudo reportedly drew out a pistol and pointed it at his girlfriend and ordered her not to interfere with his family issues before driving away.

Fearing for her life, Mafunda reported the incident to the police station, leading to Gudo’s arrest.
