Mulanje district is said to have registered seven Covid -19 positive cases after spending close to one month without registering any Covid -19 positive case.

District Medical Officer, Dr Lloyd Njikho said this calls for continued adherence to Covid -19 prevention measures.

Njikho disclosed this on Monday when surveyors Institute of Malawi made a two million donation worth of Covid -19 personal protective equipment and other medical supplies to Mulanje District Hospital.

‘’We still need more PPEs and other medical supplies as you know most of them are usable,’’ said Njikho.

Meanwhile President of the Institute Alick Chirwa said surveyors interact with different people in their work and as such they are also a risk society to Covid –19 hence their support towards the fight against the pandemic.

The donated items included disposable face masks, aprons, and oxygen regulators.
