Some traditional leaders in Nkhotakota, Mzimba and Nkhatabay are demanding for a share of six thousands hectare idle land of Dwambazi livestock farm.
Reports indicate that the farm was part of the defunct Dwambazi Malawi Young Pioneer training base.
Group Village Head Katumbi has confirmed of the development.
‘’’Nkhotakota gave a lot of its land to the Government, back then the population was small. Before Government gets a lease, we should discuss and it should share us part of the land,’’ said Katumbi.
However, Group Village Headman Katumbi cited that the land that is not being used should be given back to them.
