A man has spent the first 100 days of 2021 livestreaming 24/7 from a locked room in Los Angeles, but he plans to stay there for the rest of the year, or even longer, if he gets the right financial incentive.

34-year-old Tim C Inzana has been locked in a shed since the start of the year, and he has no intention of coming out anytime soon. The Los Angeles artist he hopes to spend at least a whole year isolated like this, and then sell his livestream in a custom frame as an unusual piece of art. Right now, he is streaming for free on Twitch, but plans to find people willing to shell out $5 million and keep him locked for a whopping 5 years. He has also offered to stay isolated for 1o consecutive years, if someone agrees to pay him $10 million for the effort.

“The artwork is me creating the artwork, it would be like seeing a blank space transform into this colorful space,” Inzana told Insider Magazine. “I don’t know exactly what I’m doing, to be honest. There’s elements of me just following hunches and wanting to make the world a better place.”

So how does one pass the time while isolated 24/7 in just one room? Well, during the day, the Los Angeles artist either sits in front of his computer doing Q&A sessions with his viewers, having a solo dance party virtually DJed by one of his followers, eating, meditating, or working on various artworks. At night, you can stare at him sleeping…

Tim C Inzana claims that he has spent months just preparing the shed on his property to accommodate him for a long period of time, and also consulted with his family and friends before undertaking the unusual challenge. Even his fiancée is on board, and she supports him by buying and bringing him groceries through the window.

In case he doesn’t find enough people to invest $ million to keep him isolated for 5 years, or one person to shell out $10 million for a 10-year-long livestream, Inzana has a more accessible option: if he gets 7,000 subscribers on Twitch, he is willing to keep the stream publicly available for up to 5 years, as long as his subscriber count doesn’t fall under 7,000. At the time of this writing, his subscriber count sits at 102, so he has a long way to go to reach his goal.

And here we thought that livestreaming yourself sleeping was extreme…
