The Malawi Human Rights Commission says is now on full throttle with the implementation of the Access to information Act that was gazetted in January this year.
Commissioner in the Malawi Human Rights Commission Baldwin Chiyamwaka has disclosed this today during Trainer of Trainers workshop on ATIA in Salima.
Chayamwaka said that the Commission is putting in place all the necessary operational procedures to help smooth implementation of the act.
He also cited that they will soon embark on massive awareness raising campaign on the ATIA for members of the public to understand make use and enjoy their right to information as enshrined in the act.
However, Chamwaka said that inadequate resource to enable successful implementation of the act remains a challenge.
