Two health workers and two other civilians have been arrested in Mchinji for allegedly stealing drugs and Medical equipment.
Station Officer for Mchinji police Charles James Mpezeni confirmed of the development.
According to Mpezeni, the suspects have allegedly been selling the medical drugs and equipment to some Zambian and Mozambican Nationals who are in drug business.
The stolen items include five cartons of surgical gloves, 25 boxes of rabies vaccine, two boxes of malaria rapid test kits and two boxes of HIV test sets.
The items were allegedly stolen from Mchinji District Hospital.
Meanwhile, police are hunting for three other health workers in connection with the same issue.
It is illegal in the country to sell medical drugs and equipment f one do not have license for the business.
