Muslims in Malawi and all people of goodwill have been asked to pray for people in Palestine as the hostilities rages on between Palestinians militants and Israel Troops.

Macbul Latif who was the chairman of this year’s Eid-Mubarak prayers for Limbe said Arab Muslims are suffering and facing hard times as they find it difficult to find the basic needs like water, electricity, food and alike due to the conflict in the region.

“We must join hands and pray for the lives of those that have been affected by the conflict in Palestine and mutual understanding and peace between the Israelites and Arabs in the region,” he said.

He said it is a worrisome development because this is happening at a time when the World is fighting the Covid-19 pandemic which has claimed millions of lives.

On the same, he also urged Malawians to continue observing the Covid-19 rules and preventive measures and congratulated the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 for the fantastic job they are doing.

Concurring with Latif Sheikh Muhammad Idnen who is a student at Madrasah School in India also said that the people in Palestine are facing tough times and it is important to pray for them.

He said this will depend on the World to find a lasting solution so that there should be peace as this has been going on for years.

On the same development the United Nation Security Council has denounced the ongoing clashes between Israel troops and Palestinians that has killed over 200 Palestinians and over ten Israelites and wounded many on both sided.

Reports indicates that the latest conflict is the bloodiest one since 2014.Fighting begun last week.
