The remains of slain Malawi Defense Soldier (MDF) soldier Lance Corporal Chitenji Kamanga will arrive in the country tomorrow Saturday, May 22, 2021.

Kamanga was killed while serving under United Nations Peacekeeping Force in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on May 10, 2021.

A statement from MDF and signed by its Acting Public Information Officer Major Emmanuel Kelvin Mlelemba confirmed of the development.

Mlelemba said that the plane carrying the remains of the fallen peace keeper is expected to land at Kamuzu International Airport at around 12:40 hrs.

Her body is expected to be buried on Sunday May 23, 2021 in Zomba.
