27 year old man has died after drinking Kachasu on an empty stomach in Ntcheu district.
He has been identified as Collins Sasala of Saiwaita village, Traditional Authority Makwangwala in Ntcheu District.
On May 27, 2021, the deceased left his home for drinking joint within the village. He was found dead in his house at around 01:00hrs.
The matter was reported to Sigerege Police Unit by the deceased’s uncle, Francis Kazembe.
Police rushed to the scene and took the body to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for postmortem. Results revealed that death was due to Hypoglycemia.
