The New Director General for the state broadcaster Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) George Kasakula has on Tuesday morning reported for duty following his appointment as Director General for the Corporation.
Speaking following the development, Kasakula said his vision is to ensure that the public broadcaster advances the interests of all stakeholders in the country.
According to Kasakula, under his watch, the public broadcaster will take a new direction on matters of news coverage and programming, saying the institution is for all Malawians.
‘I am impressed with what I have seen here, the infrastructure is good and I must say MBC has the best equipment for radio and TV.
“What Malawians want now is a different MBC in terms of news, programs and we are taking that direction,” said Kasakula.
Before his appointment, Kasakula was Editor in Chief for privately owned Times Media Group.
