People who are seeking a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital – Gateway Clinic have complained that there is no enough vaccine at the facility.
They say they have been kept waiting since morning, only to be told that there was no vaccine.
According to reports, health authorities in Blantyre are seeking the doses from other districts neighboring the city.
Spokesperson for the ministry of health, Joshua Malango has confirmed the development.
Malango said the situation was due to overwhelming number of people seeking the service which is currently being prioritized to persons with underlying conditions, health workers and other essential service providers.
