The Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) is demanding information, from the Ministry of Health, on the current stocks of the vaccine, following reports of shortages.

Some vaccination centres have run out of the vaccine and people are being sent back or referred to other centres.

Malawi Health Equity Network  Executive Director Gorge Jobe has confirmed the development.

Jobe has  since called on the authorities to come out and give an explanation on this matter.

The issue of shortages is coming weeks after health authorities burned thousands of doses which were said to have expired.
