Tonse Alliance Partners, which comprises 9 political parties and one pressure group is expected to hold its summit today June 17 at Chikoko Bay State residence in Mangochi.

The Tonse Partners entered government on June 23 last year following the court’s nullification of the May 19 20219 presidential elections.

FaceofMalawi can confirm that the partners will among other things scrutinize their one-year term of office.

The Alliance members however include Malawi Congress Party (MCP), United Transformation Movement (UTM), People’s Party (PP), Alliance For Democracy (AFORD) Umodzi Party (UP), and Citizens For Transformation (CFT).

This meeting comes at a time when a number of stakeholders are pushing for the Tonse Administration to start implementing their campaign promises.

This is the first official indaba of Tonse Alliance Partners since they were given the mandate to manage the affairs of the nation.
