Malawi’s Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has said that at least 200, 000 doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine are expected to arrive in the country next month
Chiponda broke the news today in Ntcheu where the Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Ntcheu, Blantyre, Mzimba North, Mchinji, Lilongwe and Dedza District Health Offices.
Chiponda’s remarks comes after all the Covid-19 vaccine spots announced that they have run out of the vaccine.
As the country is waiting for the arrival of the virus, the Minister has appealed to all Malawians to stay calm and patient at the meantime.
Speaking at the event, MHEN board member, Dr. Fred Mwathengere, says with the Covid-19 third wave here now, there is need for strict adherence to preventive measures to stem further Covid-19 spread.
