The  courts in Dedza are  handling at least 40 cases per month of requests for divorce.

According to Court magistrates in Dedza they thought these cases are at higher level  due to   moral decay.

Reports have indicated that most divorce cases are about cruelty, loss of interest among partners, infidelity and adultery.

Dedza Senior Resident Magistrate, Clemence Chamwenda has confirmed the development

Chamwenda   said  that over 40 divorce cases are registered per month in the district.

Magistrate Talakwanji M’dala of Nkhadza Magistrate Court at Linthipe says women as young as 18-19 years of age are also part of those flocking to courts to seek divorce.
