Former President Peter Mutharika is expected to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on July 20, 2021.

ACB spokesperson Egrita Ndala confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Ndala, ACB wants to interview Mutharika over the use of his Taxpayer Identification Number (TPIN).

It is alleged that Mutharika’s TPIN, during the time he was president, was used by some of his aides and businessmen to procure cement worth K5 billion.
