The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is today expected to start questioning former Head of state Peter Mutharika over alleged abuse of his Tax Payer Identification Number (TPIN).
The graft bursting body spokesperson Egrita Ndala confirmed of the development.
However, the questioning will be held virtually in respect to Coronavirus preventive measures.
It is alleged that some people were abusing Mutharika’s duty free status to import cement worth billions of kwacha into the country.
The exercise failed to start on 20 July 2021 as Mutharika reportedly needed enough time to go through the documents the Bureau had served him with.
