Vice-President, Dr. Saulos Chilima has said there is good progress for preparation of the 41st Southern African Development Committee (SADC) Summit slated to begin on August 9, 2021.

He said this Wednesday in Lilongwe after touring Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) facilities and inspecting road maintenance works at Airport, Kanengo and Ufulu road junctions, Parliament and Capital Hotel roundabouts.

He commended the SADC Working Committee chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs and other team members for doing a commendable job a head of the Summit.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Lilongwe City Council, John Chome, promised to make sure that all roads are maintained and potholes filled in the city before Friday.
