Chiwembe and MDC grounds are to be used for super league games next season as one way of easing the shortage of stadiums in Blantyre, Sulom officials confirm.
The city has only the Kamuzu Stadium for top flight games following the poor conditions of the BAT and Escom grounds and the purchasing of the MDC ground by Surestream for their academy.
However, Super league of Malawi general secretary Williams Banda told the media that the two grounds will be used next season.
He said Football Association of Malawi officials have discussed with the directors of the Surestream academy to use their stadium for super league games at least once a week.
Banda added that with the Chiwembe technical centre ground scheduled to undergo a facelift from later this month, it will be ready to host super league games from the second round of the league.
The shortage of venues in the city has forced Blantyre based super league teams have been using Kalulu, Zomba and Balaka as their home grounds.
The new season is scheduled to kick off later this month.
