Police in Mulanje have arrested a 65-year-old man, Dyson Kasauka, for allegedly committing theft by trick and indecent assault offenses.
Mulanje Police Spokesperson Gresham Ngwira says Kasauka deceived a 36 year old woman that he will bring to life her daughter who died in a road accident in 2019 in Zomba.
He charged the woman K177,000 to bring back the girl and the woman paid and he allegedly took some water with which he cleaned the woman’s breasts.
Ngwira said the man kept changing statements until Monday, August 23, 2021 when communities apprehended him and took him to Nkando Police Unit.
