Center for Democracy and Economic Initiative (CDEDI) is seeking clarification from the Ministry of Health on the ‘No Vaccine No Work Policy’ which is being implemented by a number of institutions across the country.

The human rights grouping has written the Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda who is also the Co-chairperson of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19.

Khumbize Chiponda is being asked to clarify on what CDEDI is calling a silent government policy.

CDEDI Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa questions the Taskforce alleged silence on the matter and has since demanded an explanation from the authorities.

This comes as some public and private institutions are directing their workers to get the pandemic vaccine first before reporting for duties.

Namiwa says they have given government seven days to respond but health authorities are yet to comment on the CDEDI concerns.
