A commercial sex worker has come out to narrate how she was dumped inside a bar.
Dorine Atieno in her statement after differing with the owner of the joint said that the man walked out of the bar just after the bill had reached K44000.
She said that the man walked out as if he was making a call only to vanish and never to go back.
“The man also made away with my phone plus that of my friend. We only realised it after he took long to come back,” the Kenyan sex worker told local publication K24 Digital.
Atieno said that she met the man in the bar while she was busy working and he opted to buy her drinks.
According to her, she called her friend and they started enjoying the drinks as they made fun and held talks about life generally.
She said that she was willing to take light duties within the premises in order to raise enough cash so as she can foot the bill.
“I am willing to work within the bar and raise money that will see me offset the bill. I was really perturbed by what happened,” said Atieno.
Such cases of people failing to foot bills have been on the increase across the world due to tough economic situations caused by Covid-19.
If taken to court with such a matter, the accused are usually slapped with heavy penalty fees.
