The body of a renowned human rights activist Rafiq Hajat will be laid to rest in South Africa today.
Hajat, who was being airlifted to South Africa on Sunday following a heart attack, died in transit.
Meanwhile, tributes continue to pour from several quarters as many activists, politicians and many others describe Hajat as a fearless and staunch human rights defender the country has lost.
Hajat has been promoting various civil rights in Malawi for a lot of years.
He has died at the age of 65.
