The former ruling Democratic Progress Party (DPP) has relieved Brown Mpinganjira off from his duties as the parity’s spokesperson.
According to a press statement seen by this publication, Mpinganjira has been replaced by Shadreck Namalomba, who is a member of parliament.
According to the statement signed by DPP’s Administrative Secretary Francis Mphepo, Mpinganjira has been relived from his duties due to other competitive priorities.
The development comes at a time there are rumors that Mpinganjira is planning to the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Last month, when rumors of his firing from the party were making rounds on social media, Mpinganjira had admitted that he was fed up with the developments that are happening in the party, giving an example of his beating at the DPP press briefing by some party youth in Lilongwe.
“I am a human being. I have children and a family. Have you been beaten live on television? How would you feel if it were your mum or dad?” asked Mpinganjira.
