A 27 year old woman is in police custody in Mzuzu for allegedly scalding her daughter’s hands over missing money.
Mzuzu Police Public Relations Officer, Paul Tembo has confirmed of the development and has identified the suspect as Ana Kabaghe, 27, of Tchowe Village Traditional Authority Mwenemisuku in Chitipa.
Tembo told the press that the woman accused the child of stealing money.
He said the woman kept the girl in the bedroom for two days until she was discovered by her neighbours.
She will appear in court soon for the offence.
