Information confined to FaceofMalawi from highly placed sources has disclosed that former President Arthur Peter Mutharika and other top members of the Former ruling Democratic Progressive Party ( DPP) were on sunday October 31 locked in a meeting taking place at Mapanga in Blantyre.

It is reported that the main agenda of the meeting has centred on Mutharika’s resignation as the party’s president and appointment of his successor.

The party is expected to hold a convection in 2023 to choose the next executive.
