In Ntcheu, Patrick Gome who is suspected of biting a toddler at Ben Chimseu village on Sunday has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate, Joshua Nkhono on Tuesday afternoon, according to District Police spokesperson, Rabecca Kwisongole.
The case is stated to return to court on 12 November, 2021 for hearing where state is expected to parade three witnesses.
She said state is being represented by Ntcheu Police Prosecutor, Patrick Mandanda.
