Police in Namibia have arrested 124 people for allegedly possessing and dealing in drugs worth more than N$10 million last month.

This was confirmed by police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Among the 124 suspects were 100 Namibians, nine Zambians, eight Angolans, three Tanzanians, two Zimbabweans, one Ghanaian, and one Congolese national.

They were allegedly found in possession of  cannabis, 7 Mandrax tablets, cocaine, mushrooms.

All of them are expected before court soon.
