Auxiliary teachers have expressed worry over delays by government to pay their October salary.

This comes at a time when government is yet to pay the teachers October salary despite being commended for paying civil servants in time.

According to the Spokesperson for the auxiliary teachers, Madalitso Jere teachers are failing to get their basic needs due to their financials.

Meanwhile, Jere has pleaded with government to fasten of their salaries.

There has not been immediate comment from government.

In February this year,  Ministries of Education and Local Government recruited 3,220 from IPTE 13 cohort.

Recruitment of the teachers was part of the efforts by Government to decongest classes in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
