Information reaching this publication is indicating that the Malawi Police Service (MPS) has arrested broadcaster Steve Maseya on the allegations that he was circulating fake Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination papers.
According to reports, Maseya was arrested last night in Mangochi and was taken to Police Headquarters at Area 30 in Lilongwe.
Prior to the beginning of his year’s MSCE examinations, some papers of Biology, Mathematics and English were being shared on social media platforms believed to be officials papers to be written by the students.
However, the Malawi Nations examinations Board (MANEB) refuted the allegations.
It was then revealed that the number that was used to share the said paper belong to the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) broadcaster.
