A 36 year old man Duncan Mughogho is struggling with third degree burns after his 23 year old wife poured hot porridge on him following a disagreement.
Mzuzu police spokesperson Paul Tembo said the victim who was first being treated has now been taken to Mzuzu central hospital after his condition began to change from the burns he sustained during the incident.
Police say the woman Mirriam Msumba 23 was arrested and charged with conduct likely to cause grievous harm and has been released on bail.
Mughogho said he is in great pain and hardly sleeps as his whole back is covered with severe burns.
