Civil Society Organization under the banner Center for Democracy Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has denied government’s call for dialogue as concerns of continued cost of living keeps growing.

CDEDI Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa was reacting to the call made by the Minister of Information Gospel Kazako that government is planning on engaging organizers of anti-government demonstrations.

According to Kazako, that is the only way government will be able to map way forward in implementing developmental activities in the country.

However, Namiwa said that what Malawians are looking for right now is action and not round table discussions.

Citing presidential travels, continued rising cost of essential commodities among others ar5e things that could just be acted upon and not requiring a round table meeting hence his denial.

On the contrary, the lead organizer of Malawi Sali Bwino demonstrations Bon Kalindo has accepted to hold talks with government on the same.
