Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative (CDEDI) has asked Tonse lead government to stop making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory to Malawians.

In a statement released today, CDEDI Executive Director Slyvester Namiwa said making Covid-19 vaccination mandatory in the country is an interference to the country’s human rights laws.

Namiwa has proposed that the country should first consider fighting for the current economic challenges the country is passing through.

He said making Covid-19 vaccination mandatory in the country will not fix challenges the country is facing.

Namiwa has since demanded the Tonse lead government to first look into the issues at hand before making any decision.
