Three Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) top officials who were arrested on Wednesday will appear in court today for formal charges.
The three top gurus namely; Joseph Mwanamvekha, Dalitso Kabambe and Ben Phiri were arrested on ground of abuse of office when they were serving as Cabinet Ministers under the reign of former President Peter Mutharika.
Supporters of DPP have started gathering at Lilongwe Magistrate Court in redness for the court case.
Earier in the morning, DPP Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also leader of opposition, DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba and two other officials cheered the three.
