Government has appointed seasoned economist Dr. McDonald Mafuta Mwale as the new Secretary to Treasury replacing Chauncy Simwaka who has been deployed to Ministry responsible for Tourism, Wildlife and Culture.
Government spokesperson Gospel Kazako has confirmed.
Mwale has previously worked at Reserve Bank of Malawi as one of the directors.
In another development, Peter Simbani has been appointed as the new Comptroller of Statutory Corporations.
Simbani replaces Nwazi Mnthambala, who is now secretary for Industry.
