A new Civil Society Organization (CSO) called, Muvi Wachilungamo Pressure Group- has been launched in the country.
The grouping’s core purpose, according to its leadership is to deal with various forms of injustices Malawians are subjected to and promote Mindset Change amongst the citizenry.
The launch took place at College of Medicine- Sports Complex in Blantyre, over the weekend.
Speaking during the launch, Saunders Juma, Commander In Chief of the Organization- decried misappropriation of funds, describing this as a major contributor to the county’s under- development.
Besides, Juma noted that people have a negative attitude towards development and governance, a thing he says is seeing the country fail to meet its goals.
In addition, Juma has accused critics of the Tonse Alliance Administration of being too hasty in blaming government for failing to deal with social economic challenges arguing that the current leadership needs more time to end the problems.
Apart from that, Juma also challenged leaders to embrace mindset change in order to do away with socioeconomic woes Malawians are facing in the country.
Meanwhile, Juma has called on the leadership of Tonse Alliance leadership to apologize to Malawians for failing to fulfill some of its promises.
In his remarks, George Nnesa President of Malawi Forum for Unity and Development (MAFUNDE) one of the political parties in the Tonse Alliance-who was in attendance at the official launch concurred with Juma saying the current challenges can not be addressed in two years time, hence calling for more time.
Also in attendance was Lesotho’s Former Deputy Prime Minister Mothejoa Metsing
