Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda Co-chairperson of the Presidential Taskforce has written the Ministries of Homeland Security and Local Government to ensure maximum enforcement Covid-19 preventive measures.

Kandodo Chiponda said this afternoon in Lilongwe as she is reminding Malawians some of the reintroduced restrictions announced last week.

According to Kandodo Chiponda the country is currently registering increased cases, saying as of Monday, 482 people tested positive and two people died.

The Minister says as people will be celebrating during festive seasons, they should adhere to the Covid-19 preventive measures.

She says they have written all law enforcement agencies to help in enforcing the regulations.

Chiponda says people should avoid being in large numbers for no reasons.

She says political rallies have been banned until further notice.

She says demonstrations are also restricted and people in market places should always mask up.
