A group of concerned citizens dubbed Social Revolution Movement has called off its planned State House vigils.

The vigils were planned to demonstrate against continued rising cost of living which has been categorized in socio-economic challenges that are rocking the country.

The grouping which is being led by former Malawi Defense Force Soldier Phunziro Mvula, is calling on President Lazarus Chakwera top come up with solutions to address the challenges.

According to Mvula, the planned vigils have temporarily been put on hold because government has already started addressing the challenges.

Government spokesperson Gospel Kazako has been asking pressure groups in the country to give Chakwera time for him to start making various developments in the country.
