Malawian legislature for Mulanje Bale, Victor Musowa has alleged that he has tested petrol in bottled water supplied to the Members of Parliament.
Musowa said this in parliament today when he raised concern on the quality of the water.
According to Musowa there are impurities in the water given to the legislatures and asked for testing by the Malawi Bureau Standards (MBS).
“Madam Speaker, could Parliament Secretariat label these two bottles of water I have put parallel to each other and send them to Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) for testing to see if they conform with the country’s standards,” he said.
The bottled water is labeled “Real Purified Still Water” bottled by United Food Products.
